'Creating a stronger community through Australian Football'

The Kenilworth Football Club has facilitated a successful Auskick centre at Laura Avenue St Marys in conjunction with the AFL and SANFL for over 10 years.

The Auskick program is an excellent opportunity for 5 and 6 year olds to be introduced to our great game, with the emphasis being on fun and participation.

Our Club is fully committed to the Auskick program and will ensure all children are given the

opportunity to learn the game and develop their skills in a community orientated environment.

Players such as Rory Laird (Adelaide Crows) and Seb Tape (Brisbane Lions) have been through our junior program, which caters for all players male and female, regardless of ability.

Our coordinator and coach Michael Mably is AFL accredited and has been facilitating Auskick in the West Adelaide zone for the past 5 years.  His dedication to the girls and boys who participate is outstanding, ensuring that they all get the most out of the time they spend at our club.

Auskick commences in Term 2 and leads into the Mini's or Under 7's competition facilitated by the SANFL in Term 3, which gives the children a chance to utilise the skills they have developed in preparation for entry into the SANFL Under 8's competition the following year.

If you are looking for a family friendly Club that caters for everyone, with facilities that are the equal of any facility in metropolitan Adelaide, then Kenilworth may well be the answer, I can assure you the children and your family will be made most welcome.

Meet the coach

Michael Mably

I have been a part of the Kenilworth Football Club for the past four year, as a player and as the Auskick Coordinator.

I have also worked previously for numerous SANFL Clubs and have coordinated Auskick Clinics for the Adelaide and Port Adelaide clubs throughout Adelaide.

Auskick is the introduction to the sport of AFL.  It can be for a lot of players; the first time playing football, kicking a football, or experiencing football in general and kids just having a great time!

My philosophy is that Auskick should not only just be teaching the basics of AFL but where players can have fun, make new friends and be a part of a community.  For me there is also the thrill of seeing a player develop from beginner to match ready within the 10 weeks. Also seeing week after week and year after year the players coming back saying how much they love Auskick.

Kenilworth Auskick is a welcoming and enjoyable program for all family members and for all ages.
