Senior Mens Football

Senior Kookas (Mens) Football at Kenilworth

The Kenilworth Football Club is unique in so far it is neither a Suburban or Old Scholars team, but originated within the shire of Parkside at the beginning of the 20th Century, being established in 1907 and is the second oldest member of the Adelaide Football League.

The Kenilworth Senior Men’s are currently fielding sides in Division 5 Reserves and Division C5 and play at St Marys Park, Laura Avenue St Marys. Our new facilities including social rooms, change rooms and playing surface are amongst the best in metropolitan Adelaide.

We cater for players of all abilities and field sides in the SANFL Inclusive League and the AFL Masters (Over 35 competition). Additionally, we field women’s and junior teams. We are always looking for new members to join our family friendly Club.

Under the guidance of Senior Coaches Rob Prime, Luke Gane and Michael Gilmour we are expecting a very successful year to follow our minor premiership from last year. To that end we have recruited extensively this year with an influx of 12 new recruits along with players from last years U18 premiership team. The playing group is an exciting mix of youth along with some experienced players.

Any interested people can contact me (John Schulz) on 0412587551 or e-mail john.schulz4@bigpond.com, or just drop into the Club any Tuesday or Thursday night from 6:00 pm, you would be most welcome!

Rob Prime

Hello to the family of the Kenilworth Football Club.

As you maybe aware now I have been appointed A grade coach of the Kenilworth Football club, a position I feel honoured and proud to fulfil.

I think anytime you are given an opportunity to help mould young people’s lives is very rewarding and certainly not to be taken lightly.

Successful clubs have strong culture and values and its important these qualities are nurtured is safe learning environment for all our players, families and volunteers.  Everyone is important and we should live to that.

My philosophies are based on these principles. The game we will play will be contemporary based on honesty and encouraging players to be the best they can be, playing with their mates and having fun along the way hopefully with success.

Our group this year is young and it’s going to be exciting watching this group grow together as a team and as people.  It’s a challenge I very much look forward to.

To our supporters and families I encourage you all to get out and support all our teams when you can.  To our volunteers I thank you in advance.  Your value cannot be understated.  To all our Kooka players, from the little ones to the senior men and women teams I wish you all the very best for the season coming.

Go Kookas 2020
